Created in 2008, in continuity of the Association of Multimedia Work Producers (APOM), the Syndicat National du Jeu Vidéo, SNJV, the French National Association of Video Game Professionnals, includes the production companies of video games and game programs, the corporations and individuals which help it (including the independant creators, editors, distributors, public and private organizations and research laboratories, realizing research for video games and technologies involved), the professional regional associations working for development of video game industry ; to represent and defend profession interests, and to promote the french video game production in France and in the world, and to communicate about the industry with all the observers

The SNJV intervenes in all the domains to preserve and develop the competitiveness of french production companies of video games implanted in France : public policies to secure the international competitiveness of creative companies of video games, regulatory and legislative to the sustainable development of the sector, vocational training, promotion of the french video game industry in France and in the world.

The SNJV also acts in the interests of his members whenever the news requires it.

IIM (Institut International du Multimedia) was founded in 1996 and based in Paris-La Défense at the Pôle Universitaire Léonard de Vinci. The school is specialized in internet communication and video game production.

A "Multimedia Project Manager" title is delivered, recognized by a professional certification. For the post-graduate studies in 5 years, different options are available : 3D animation, Video Game conception and production, Web marketing and Communication. Two other professional programmes are available: MBA Video Game Management (e-marketing and production for video games) and Game Developper.

Capital Games is the Parisian Business Cluster for Video Game Companies. We aim at reinforcing the independent Video Game Industry on a local level in the Paris Region in France. To this end we work with SMEs, Professional Organizations and Local Authorities. We have brought together more than 40 independent companies since setting up in 2003.

Our members are involved at every level of Video Gaming: in its different fields (development, middleware & publishers), on all types of platform (DS, Wii, PSP, PS3, Xbox, smart-phones, online gaming & networking), of all types (casual, serious & hardcore gaming). We support and bring together all local and regional Video Game stakeholders in order to strengthen joint action. The main sectors we target are Exports, Financing, Human Resources, Research & Development and Networking.

We function as an interdependent network made up of productive units having similar or complementary activities sharing work on different project. In this way we defend the interests of Parisian Video Games and work towards the enhancement and ongoing development of the sector.
